A Study on Utilizing ICT : Bridging the Divide Between Elementary School English Classes and Junior High School English Classes

The purpose of this paper is to propose the ways to utilize ICT for bridging the divide between elementary school English classes and junior high school English classes. Achievements and problems in English education in elementary school for these twenty years are reviewed and the effective ways of making use of ICT are overviewed. The author proposes that developing and sharing materials with ICT and utilizing e-portfolio should be the tools for filling the English education gap between elementary school and junior high school.
