Study on Effective Support for Collaboration between Local Community’s Actors and University Students : A Case Study in Kamikono Area, Kimino Town

In this paper, effective support for collaboration between local community’s actors and university students is discussed through theoretical research of active learning and PBL (Problem/Project Based Learning) and a case study of Local Internship Program at Kimino town Wakayama prefecture. The analysis reveals that effective support of university staff involves four elements (empowering students' activeness/ liaison and coordination with local community/ establishing of a base for collaboration/ total management of program) to improve the quality of collaboration.
