Theories on Community Based Tourism: What is its Essence?

Theories on community based tourism as one of the prototypes of sustainable tourism, which aim at eradication of poverty, have recently come to agenda, although there have been not few such critics as from the viewpoint of pro-poor tourism in the context of sustainable tourism. This paper assumes that it is essentially unsuccessful to eradicate poverty by way of the community based tourism, because it ultimately cannot get out of the limitation of geographical dimension.
