In this study, we reviewed the literature to investigate current status of research in Japan
focusing on the change of mind of peer supporters themselves. We searched for original paper
with abstract description as the keywords of such as peer supporter, peer staff, and staff with
disabilities through ICHUSHI（Japanese）. As a result, fifteen dissertations were identified.
They suggest that peer support activities have specific difficulties and positive effects on peer
supporters.
