General provisions of the civil code are very difficult to understand. Two attempts were made to improve the lessons taught in civil law lectures. As the first attempt, a lecture was presented in front of other professors and a study meeting was conducted afterward. Subsequently, as the second attempt, the contents of the lecture were posted on an online bulletin board system (BBS), and students were invited to discuss the contents.
