The current state of health tourism studies

Healthy consciousness is rising in Japan. There has been the tourism needs that relates healthy, in the activity that the leisure element is very strong as tourism. This paper surveys health tourism studies in Japan, and it will clarify the current state and issue of health tourism studies. It was clear that there were few evidence-based studies from the viewpoint of tourism approach and few clinical studies except thermal/mineral springs from the viewpoint of medical approach.
