Abstract Alternative | Jean Baudrillard’s theories on semiotics (semiology) are multi-faceted to such an extent that it is exceedingly difficult to understand the disciplined essences as an integral theory of modern civilization. In this paper, mainly the opinions of Dary Y. Mendoza and Gary Genosko on Baudrillard’s theories are reviewed. This review reveals the determinant significance of value concepts in the theoretical structure of Baudrillard’s advocacy, which are often not considered when estimating it.
