Abstract Alternative | This paper engages with the theoretical issues of resilience in tourism, which is defined as the capacity to persist and absorb changes, and in which fast resilience has been stressed in contrast to slow one so far. This paper argues moreover that the emphasis of theoretical analysis is to be put on the capacity of the destination rather than the states of change.
