| Abstract | 現行の全国学力・学習状況調査が実施されて15 年。和歌山県は、小・中学校共に国語科の調査結果で全国平均を大きく下回ることが多く、授業改善が急務であった。本稿では、特に国語科の授業改善に力を入れて取り組んできた和歌山市立四箇郷小学校において、赴任後間もない若年教員が、研究発表会での授業提案を通して、何を学び、何に気づいていったのかを詳述する。
