中学校英語科における言語活動と英語運用能力の関係性について

中学校英語科において、授業での言語活動の時間と生徒の英語運用能力の向上に関係性が認められるのかについて研究を行った。方法として、授業での言語活動の時間を測定し、その後３人での話すこと〔やり取り〕のパフォーマンステストを行い、生徒の英語運用能力を測った。その組み合わせを２度実施した結果、授業での英語を使った言語活動の時間が長いほど、生徒の英語運用能力も上がることがわかった。

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between language activities and students' English communication abilities in junior high school English classes. First, we measured the time of language activities in English classes. After that、 we measured the students' English abilities by three-person speaking (interaction) performance test.
As a result, it was found that the longer the time of language activities using English in class, the better the students' English communication abilities.
