Abstract Alternative | This study engages with problems that are presented as “emerging conceptions of work, management, and the labor market” in Vallas (2017). It argues that scholars have again testified the powerfulness of the capitalist system of economy, which sometimes creates dystopian conditions of life for workers, many of whom exhibit new conceptions of work and attachment to firm than of occupation.
