Abstract Alternative
This paper addresses the question of what the slogan “peace through tourism” can mean in the context of “dark tourism.” In particular, it discusses in depth the relationship between the two amidst dark tourism’s growing commercialization and popularity. Validating the above slogan (“peace through tourism”) is currently a pressing issue and incidentally, tourism to the sites of the Rwandan genocide is said to be valid in both its intent and outcome.
