Properties of magnets are explained in the guideline for elementary schools Science by the Ministry of Education. Forces between two magnets obey in inverse proportion to distance. This simple fact is frequently ignored by university students who will become elementary school teachers. To impress and promote of understanding inverse squire laws, a simple experiment on magnets is proposed for the students.
