The subject of science of senior high school is divided into four areas : physics, chemistry, biology, and earth science, and students who study all four are rare. There has been a suggestion that the lack of an environment for integrated and cross-disciplinary learning of the four areas may be due to the situation in teacher training, where science teachers are anxious to teach areas different from their own specialty. Therefore, surveys and roundtable discussions were conducted among professors and students of teacher training faculties. We concluded that there is no reluctance to improve the situation stated above in the teacher training. This survey was a pilot study, limited in both quality and quantity, and a larger-scale survey is needed in the future.
