Abstract Alternative | COIL is one of the online international collaborative learning models that started at New York State University (SUNY) in 2006. Currently, due to the pandemic of COVID-19, it is not possible to implement programs that send students abroad. Therefore, COIL is attracting attention as an alternative educational means to onsite-type international education programs. The purpose of this paper is to present an overview of the COIL-type classes that the author is conducting with BINUS University in Indonesia in the second semester of the 2020 academic year, and the issues that have become apparent during the implementation.
