The role of street pianos in promoting connections between people and the local community, helping to create a community with affection, and serving as a “Position as tourist“ named by the author was examined from the NHK TV program and the case of Kobe City. As a result, we suggested the possibility and development potential that the street piano could activate communication, create flexible connections, and become a “Position as tourist“ based on pleasure, empathy, and a sense of security.
