There have been so many conceptualizations of tourist today that no unified theoretical definition is found. This paper surveys such characteristic conceptualizations that are represented by the concept of post-tourist, arguing the posttourist denote not only the tourist in post-modern, but also them in transmodern, the next stage to the post-modern.
