There has emerged the theory of evolutionary economic geography(EEG) since the beginning of this century, which has proven to be a useful paradigm for the theory of tourism destination development. This paper surveys its characteristics, arguing it theoretically resembles the idea of uneven development of places claimed by Lenin, Marxism revolutionist.
