Temporary disaster broadcasting stations
The collection, processing, and diffusion of information and its sharing with the society is important for damage minimization in the event of Nankai Trough earthquake and tsunami. The most common form of information sharing during the early period following a disaster is radio transmission. This study introduces the rules and regulations regarding the efficient use of temporary disaster broadcasting stations. It also presents an overview of the social, educational, training, and technical preparations and practices for the temporary disaster broadcasting stations in Wakayama prefecture. Finally, it examines various issues that can potentially arise with respect to faster and more reliable radio broadcasting and communication and their possible remedies.
