Abstract
1998年の学習指導要領の改訂に伴って,「総則」に位置づけられ今回新たに創設された「総合的な学習」についての学習指導上でのねらいを明らかにし,学習指導要領の変遷を振り返ることによって今回の改訂の特徴を検討した。問題解決学習や体験学習が重視される中で教科学習との関わりをどのようにとらえるかという観点から小学校5年生社会科「日本の農業」の実践を取り上げ,教科の発展としての総合的な学習のあり方を検討した。
