Abstract
本稿では,サービス・ラーニング(SL)の定義や条件をめぐる議論を整理することによって,筆者が和歌山大学で担当するインドネシアの海外短期研修プログラムにおいて,SL の導入と実践可能性について検討した。その結果,学生が体験・調査した「観光村」において,住民にサービスを提供しつつ学生の学びにつなげる双方向の利益が得られる可能性を見いだした。また,SLを開始する以前から学生が関与していくことも学習過程の一部として位置づけることの重要性を指摘した。
