Abstract
本稿は、小学校低学年児童の生活の中心をなす「遊び」は、人間の主体性の確立の根幹となる活動であり、子どもの成長にとって、大きな意味をもっていること、幼児教育と小学校教育をつなぐ生活科のスタートプログラムとして、最も重要な要素であることを考察し、和歌山市立小学校で実践された生活科単元「いちぴかプロジェクト」取り組みから、2学期の実践に基づく「いちぴかプロジェクトの実践Ⅰ」および3学期の取り組み「いちぴかプロジェクトの実践Ⅱ」の考察を通して、「遊び」活動の有効性を実践に即して明らかにしたものである。
