Abstract
1998年の学習指導要領の改訂で新設された「総合的な学習の時間」は、2008年、2017年の学習指導要領の改訂を経て、いっそう地域とのつながりを強めて来ている。では、こうした地域の特色とは何か。それを地域の教育力やモノ・コト・人環境の視点から分析し、地域の特色を山間部・沿岸部と都市部・都市近郊とに分けて、そこでの総合的な学習のあり方について考察を行った。最後に、総合的な学習を通して、地域に子どもの居場所や子ども集団を生み落とすことの大切さを指摘した。
