Abstract
2017年に発表された小学校新学習指導要領で生活科は、幼児教育での学びを小学校教育につなぐ、スタートカリキュラムの中心となることが求められた。幼児教育と比較した小学校教育の特質は「自覚的な学び」であるとされる。本稿では、指導要領を批判的に検討しその課題を明らかにしたうえで、現行の生活科教科書における問いに着目し、生活科がスタートカリキュラムとしてその役割を果たすために検討すべき課題について、①問いの質、②学習活動の見通し、③学習活動の選択の3点から明らかにした。
